1 Hour Halal Awareness Program in 8 Colombo Mosques (Live Stream in ACJU Website)

The Islamic scholars and Muslim leaders from All Ceylon Jamiyathul Ulama have organized a two lecture program to be held on the 26th of Dec 2011 & 2nd January 2012 in 8 mosques in Colombo city and subburb.
The venues, dates, times and the Islamic scholars who will conduct the lecture in different mosques and more details are included in the below program poster that was circulated by ACJU.
For those unable to attend the Halal awareness program in these Colombo Mosques can listen to it live on the respective dates and times through the www.halalsrilanka.com website where it will be streamed LIVE.
This awareness program will be in Tamil and held in the following mosques at the same date and time in greater Colombo area. Please try to attend this programs or at least listen to it through the Halal Sri Lanka website. Jazakallah.

Dear Brothers In Islam, May the Almighty Allaah help you’ll in this worthy cause of Halal awareness program. In fact I participated on 22nd Dec program conducted at Wellawatte JM.and Br. Shafraz of ACJU Hahal Div. made a note of some of the following clarifications and suggestions made in the certification process and follow up ( after certification )
1.Once a product is certified ” Halal”,what is the stance of ACJU with regard to marketing campaign of the product using non Shari’ah methods by the particular company. Suggest that ACJU needs to introduce a condition that, the Halal Logo can be displayed ” ONLY ” with permitted images. If the company needs to market the product with their own images ( on their own freewill ) , the image should not be displayed. ( Ex : Brochures, hoardings, bill boards etc ).
2.What action that ACJU will take for products , companies misguiding muslim community, simply using Halal Text ( the text ” Halal” in Arabic Fonts). In fact there are many to discuss ,propose and share the experience in order to handle the Hahal certification process of ACJU efficiently.
