2011 December Issue Of Yahamga Sinhala Language Paper Now For Sale

Here is a photo of the glossy front cover of the December 2011 Yahamaga Sinhala language paper which is one of the handful of Muslim Sinhala language publications in Sri Lanka. This is a 20 page, tabloid size monthly newspaper that cost you only Rs. 30/= for a copy, which is the price of a cup of tea in a local shop.

Within this paper you will find articles, news and reviews about day to day life problems, Islamic perspectives and teachings on various topics and also articles about Al-Qu’ran, Women’s issues, health, children, cooking among other things.

For those more curious, Yahamaga (meaning the “correct path”) is a two year old newspaper that is published by the Sri Lankan Islamic NGO called Dawah Corner.  However though Yahamaga newspaper has been published for about two year now it is available only in a few places for sale.
